A SERPWatcher alternative for
daily rank tracking, not weekly.

SERPWatcher, part of the Mangools bundle, updates weekly on its Basic and Premium plans and daily only on Agency. Tracking depth isn't published anywhere. KeyRank checks daily on every paid plan, down to the top 100, stated on the pricing page.

Mangools Basic: €61/month, 200 keywords, weekly. KeyRank: free, or from $9/month, 50 keywords, daily.

TL;DR: SERPWatcher is Mangools' rank tracker, sold only inside a five-tool bundle with KWFinder, SERPChecker, LinkMiner, and SiteProfiler. Its cheaper plans update weekly; daily costs the top Agency tier. Its tracking depth isn't published. KeyRank tracks daily on every paid plan, top 100, priced only for tracking, from $9/month with a real free plan.

Why people look for a SERPWatcher alternative

Mangools' own pages explain most of it: SERPWatcher isn't sold on its own, and daily updates aren't the default.

  • No standalone rank tracker. Mangools' FAQ says it directly: "No, we don't sell our tools separately. All our tools are included in all our subscription plans." Subscribe for SERPWatcher and KWFinder, SERPChecker, LinkMiner, and SiteProfiler come with it, whether you open them or not.
  • Weekly is the default. SERPWatcher's own page promises "weekly rank updates (daily on the Agency plan)." Basic and Premium, the two cheaper tiers, both check once a week.
  • No published tracking depth. SERPWatcher's pricing page, feature page, and FAQ never state how far down the results it checks. Other trackers at least publish top 100; SERPWatcher doesn't say.
  • No plan near 1,000 keywords. Premium tops out at 700, checked weekly. The next tier, Agency, jumps to 1,500 and daily updates, at roughly double the price.

None of that makes SERPWatcher a bad tool. It makes it a five-tool subscription for someone who only wanted one of the five, at a price that doesn't slow down until Agency.

KeyRank is for you if

  • You want rank tracking, not keyword research, backlinks, and site audits bundled in.
  • You want your paid plan to check daily, not weekly.
  • You'd rather pay $9-99/month for the tracking you use than €61-141/month for a five-tool suite.

Stay on SERPWatcher if

  • You already use KWFinder or LinkMiner and want rank tracking in the same login.
  • You need city-level tracking: SERPWatcher covers over 65,000 locations. KeyRank tracks by country and language only.
  • You want API and MCP access included, at no extra cost, on every paid plan.

Mangools does those well. KeyRank doesn't do them at all.

SERPWatcher's plans skip past 1,000 keywords entirely. Premium covers 700 on weekly updates, and the next plan up, Agency, jumps to 1,500 on daily updates for roughly double the price. KeyRank's Business plan sits right at 1,000, checked daily, for $99.

Want daily checks without the jump to Agency? Track 50 free, no card, or see all plans.

Daily is the baseline here. On Mangools, it's the top plan.

SERPWatcher's own page states: "Get weekly rank updates (daily on the Agency plan)." Basic and Premium, the plans built for solo users and small teams, both check once a week. Daily checks start only on Agency, priced for professional SEOs and agencies.

For a solo site owner watching whether yesterday's title change moved a ranking, a week is a long wait. By the time Monday's check runs, several days of a dip or a climb are already gone.

KeyRank checks daily on Starter, its $9 entry plan, and every plan above it. There's no weekly tier to upgrade out of.

KeyRank rank table: eight keywords as rows, seven daily columns, position numbers with green and red day-over-day changes
The rank table: one column per day, colour on every move. Sample project.

Five tools bundled together. One tool, unbundled.

SERPWatcher doesn't stand alone. Mangools' FAQ says so directly: "No, we don't sell our tools separately. All our tools are included in all our subscription plans... they can't work without each other." Subscribe for rank tracking and KWFinder (keyword research), SERPChecker (SERP analysis), LinkMiner (backlinks), and SiteProfiler (site audits) come along, whether you open them or not.

That's a fair trade if you want all five. It's a worse one if rank tracking is the only tab you'd ever open.

KeyRank tracks positions and stores the SERP behind each one, then builds a competitor table from what it already collected: domain-level coverage and median position, no separate tool and no setup.

KeyRank SERP analysis: your coverage, median position and top 10 rate, then a top competitors table with coverage, median position and visibility per domain
Top competitors, built from the SERPs of the keywords you track. Sample project.

Switching from SERPWatcher

  1. Export your keyword list from SERPWatcher (CSV export is available in the app).
  2. Create a project in KeyRank with the same domain, country, language, and device.
  3. Paste the keywords into "Add keywords". Newlines, commas, or semicolons all work. First positions appear within 24 hours.

Ranking history does not transfer. KeyRank starts collecting from the day you add a keyword, so add them before you cancel SERPWatcher, not after.

Where SERPWatcher gets you further

If keyword research, backlinks, or site audits are why you're reading this, Mangools' bundle buys things KeyRank doesn't have:

  • Four more tools, one login. KWFinder for keyword research, SERPChecker for manual SERP analysis, LinkMiner for backlinks, SiteProfiler for site audits.
  • City-level tracking. Over 65,000 locations, down to counties and DMA regions. KeyRank tracks by country and language only.
  • API and MCP access. Included on every paid plan. KeyRank has no API yet, on any plan.
  • AI answer monitoring. Every Mangools plan now bundles AI Search Watcher PRO, tracking prompts across OpenAI, Google AI Overviews, and Claude. KeyRank doesn't track AI answer engines.

Questions & answers

Does SERPWatcher have a free plan or a free trial?

Mangools' FAQ states: "Our Free plan is completely free, and we don't require a credit card to activate it." The tracked-keyword limit for that free tier isn't published on the pricing or FAQ pages. KeyRank's free plan is stated exactly: 50 keywords, weekly checks, top 30, no card, no expiry.

Can I buy SERPWatcher without the rest of the Mangools bundle?

No. Mangools' FAQ answers this directly: "No, we don't sell our tools separately. All our tools are included in all our subscription plans... they can't work without each other." Every plan, from Basic to Agency, bundles KWFinder, SERPChecker, LinkMiner, and SiteProfiler alongside SERPWatcher. KeyRank is rank tracking and SERP analysis, and nothing else, at every tier.

How often does SERPWatcher update rankings?

Weekly on Basic and Premium, the two lower plans. Daily updates start on Agency, the top tier, per SERPWatcher's own page: "Get weekly rank updates (daily on the Agency plan)." KeyRank checks daily on every paid plan, starting at Starter for $9/month.

Does SERPWatcher track the top 100 results?

Mangools doesn't say. Its pricing page, SERPWatcher page, and FAQ don't state a tracking depth anywhere. KeyRank publishes its depth on the pricing page: top 100 on paid plans, top 30 on the free plan.

Does SERPWatcher (Mangools) have an API?

Yes, and as of this check it's included on every paid plan, along with an MCP server, at no extra cost. That's a real advantage over KeyRank, which has no API yet on any plan. KeyRank offers CSV export, a PDF report per project, and a weekly email report instead.

Can I import my Mangools keywords into KeyRank?

Yes. Export your keyword list from SERPWatcher as CSV, create a KeyRank project with the same domain, country, language, and device, and paste the keywords into Add keywords. Newlines, commas, or semicolons all work. Ranking history does not transfer; KeyRank starts collecting from the day you add a keyword.

Can I cancel, and is there a refund?

KeyRank plans are monthly. Cancel anytime from your billing page and your account returns to the free plan at the end of the period. If you're unhappy with a charge, ask for a full refund within 14 days. No questions asked. Mangools offers a 48-hour refund window on its own plans.

Track rankings free. Pay when your site outgrows it.

Free: 50 keywords, weekly, top 30. Paid: daily checks and top 100 from $9/month. Every plan gets every feature.
