Why people look for an AccuRanker alternative
AccuRanker's own pricing page explains most of it: every plan assumes a keyword count the size of an agency's book of business, not one site.
- The 2,000-keyword floor. There is no smaller plan. Track 80 keywords for your own site and you still pay for capacity built for 2,000.
- No free plan. A 14-day trial, then $224 a month or nothing.
- Pricing that assumes scale. API access starts at the $764 Expert tier. AccuRanker describes the entry plan as "ideal for freelancers, consultants, and small agencies". A freelancer with three client sites rarely needs 2,000 keywords.
None of that makes AccuRanker a bad tool. It makes it the wrong plan for someone who tracks a few hundred keywords and isn't billing clients for it.
KeyRank is for you if
- You track positions for your own site, or a handful of client sites.
- Your keyword count is in the tens or low hundreds, not thousands.
- You'd rather pay $9–99 a month than $224 for capacity you don't use.
Stay on AccuRanker if
- You run an agency tracking thousands of keywords across many clients.
- You need on-demand refresh for live client calls, or API access to pipe data elsewhere.
- You need Data Studio or BigQuery export, or a dedicated customer success manager.
AccuRanker does those well. KeyRank doesn't do them at all.

These two products don't share a shelf. KeyRank tops out at 1,000 keywords. AccuRanker starts at 2,000. There is no keyword count where both sides have an offer. This table shows the gap instead of forcing a comparison that doesn't exist.

Daily is the baseline. On-demand refresh isn't.
AccuRanker checks daily like KeyRank does, but it also lets you force a refresh: one keyword instantly, or a whole domain every two hours. That matters if you're on a client call and need this second's number, or watching a campaign move in real time.
KeyRank checks once a day, on a schedule, with no manual refresh. For a solo site owner watching whether yesterday's deploy moved a ranking, once a day is the cadence that matters. You don't need mid-day noise, and you're not paying for the infrastructure that on-demand refresh requires.
Competitors you didn't have to add
On AccuRanker you configure the competitor list yourself. It then breaks their performance down by group, URL, and product, which is useful for e-commerce catalogs at agency scale.
KeyRank skips the setup. It reads the SERPs it already collects and builds a competitor table from whoever shows up: how many of your keywords each domain ranks for, and its median position. Domain-level, not URL-level, and nothing to configure. For one site or a few, less granularity for zero setup is the right trade.
Switching from AccuRanker

Ranking history does not transfer. KeyRank starts collecting from the day you add a keyword, so add them before you cancel AccuRanker, not after.

No free plan. AccuRanker offers a 14-day free trial, then a paid plan starting at $224/month or nothing. KeyRank's free plan has no time limit: 50 keywords, weekly checks, top 30, no card, no expiry.
What is the cheapest AccuRanker plan?
Professional, $224/month billed monthly (about 10% less billed annually), and it starts at 2,000 keywords whether you need them or not. There is no smaller tier. If you track a few hundred keywords for one or two sites, KeyRank Starter is $9/month for 50 keywords checked daily, with Growth, Pro, and Business scaling to 1,000 at $99.
Does AccuRanker track the top 100?
Its help docs show keywords as "Not in top 100" when they fall out, so top 100 is the working depth, though AccuRanker does not publish it as a headline number. KeyRank states its depth on the pricing page: top 100 on paid plans, top 30 on the free plan.
How does AccuRanker count keywords toward my plan limit?
Each keyword counts once per search locale, per search engine, and per device you track it on. One keyword in two locations on desktop and mobile counts as four. KeyRank counts a keyword once per project; tracking both devices means two keyword slots, since a project is one device.
Can I import my AccuRanker keywords into KeyRank?
Yes. Export the keyword list from AccuRanker as CSV, create a KeyRank project with the same domain, country, language, and device, and paste the keywords into Add keywords. Newlines, commas, or semicolons all work. Ranking history does not transfer; KeyRank starts collecting from the day you add a keyword.
