How do I check my keyword ranking on Google?

How accurate is the rank tracking?
We check actual Google search results for each keyword. Keep in mind that rankings can vary slightly based on location, device, and personalization. KeyRank tracks from a consistent baseline so your day-to-day comparisons are reliable.
What's the difference between KeyRank and Ahrefs, Semrush, or SE Ranking?
Those are full SEO suites — they include backlink analysis, site audits, content optimization, and more. KeyRank only does rank tracking. If all you need is to monitor keyword positions daily, you don't need to pay $100+/month for features you won't use. KeyRank is also a side project built by one developer, so expect a simpler experience — but also zero bloat and a tool that does exactly what it says. KeyRank tracks positions 1–100 daily. Since September 2025, many rank trackers reduced their tracking depth to top 30 due to Google changes.
How deep does KeyRank track?
Free plan tracks top 30 results (first 3 pages of Google). Paid plans track top 100 results (all 10 pages). This matters if you're optimizing new pages that aren't on page one yet — you'll see them climbing from position 80 to 40 to 15 over time, instead of them just appearing out of nowhere.
What's included in the free plan?
50 keywords, weekly position checks, top 30 tracking depth, SERP analysis with competitor visibility, keyword suggestions, snapshot notes, and CSV export. All features are included — the free plan differs from paid only in keyword count, check frequency, and tracking depth.
How does billing work?
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through our payment provider, Paddle. You can cancel your subscription at any time — your access continues until the end of the current billing period. If you're unhappy with your purchase, you can request a full refund within 14 days. No questions asked. Can I track rankings for different countries or locations?
Yes. You can set a target country and language for your keywords. KeyRank checks Google results for that specific location and language combination.
Can I export my data?
Yes. You can export your keyword ranking data as CSV from any project. API access is not available yet.
